Those of you who've been a party to my recent hardware problems (which is most of the people I know in Star Wars Galaxies, but only a couple of other folks) will know that for some time now I've been planning to get a new motherboard. I ordered one from dabs.com along with a better graphics card and a spare sound card (you never know when some extra sound channels might come in handy, when people are hassling you to join their Ventrillo server) two weeks ago.

The initial order spent a week at the 'authorising card' status, until I got sick of failing to find contact details on their website and cancelled the order. Since it was hard to find the combination of stuff I wanted elsewhere, I switched card and gave them another chance. Another couple of days stuck authorising, except that this time I managed to find - deep in the 'help the website is broken' section - a contact form. It's taken several daft e-mails from people who just wanted to get rid of me, but I managed to establish that they couldn't verify my delivery address because I hadn't filled in the company name. Fair enough, but where was the attempt to contact me to query that?

Anyway, it's been picked now, should be dispatched today, and should be with me by the end of the week.
