I can't stay long...
2009-02-04
...because I'm at work, and most of this lunch has already been spent catching up on a few blogs.
So, the new job (and not so new now, since next week marks six months). It keeps me busy; far busier than before (most notably the way I'd sometimes be able to think about something else during a slow period at the last place, but here we don't really have slow periods). It's also sufficiently taxing that by the end of a day (days being longer than they used to be) I'm not really in the mood for writing, be it blogs or fiction.
Excuses aside, the lack of posting is my fault and I realise that by now I've only kept those readers who've failed to clean out their feed readers in six months (speak up if that's you; I'd be interested to hear from you).
Perhaps I'll set aside some time and try and post regularly. Perhaps I'll just admit that I don't have enough to say, although besides letting those last few get back a feed's worth of space I don't really see any benefit to that approach. Not to you lot at least.
As a higher priority I ought to get Third Wheel finished; I think it's had one more chapter filled in since I met the word target at the end of November 2007. After that I'd quite like to write the second act of Wynn (which is now called Shadows of Fairytales), although the more seriously I think of it the less happy I am with posting it episodically for (at best) one reader.
Plus there's the small issue of the last one not [yet?] being my best work...
Anyway, I warned it would be short. Perhaps I'll just make a habit of posting during lunch.
Later, all.
