Tomorrow I have two interviews. I don't want either job. I want the one I was trying out for today (and yesterday) but they won't know if they're hiring me for up to two weeks.
I think the phrase is "Good Luck". Okay - I lie. I know it is.
Sorry haven't been in touch for ages - hope it's going as well as it can be.

Yeah, all the best with them (and the one from yesterday)
Bloody decision pathways and all that cack - be nice if they'd interview once they actually know they're taking someone on, wouldn't it?
I've had two in the last year where it's been a case of "You've got the job" only to be told 24 hours later "Sorry, the budget hasn't been authorised, so that job no longer exists." Fuckers
One of the interviews was really bad: I'm not convinced they learned much about me and I learned absolutely nothing about them. They should be fairly convinced I have some skills, but I still don't know what they're after.
The other was a good interview, and I got the impression the main thing stopping the guy offering me the job was that he wasn't convinced that I wanted it, and that my heart would be in it. Which is completely fair enough, considering I don't know either. It's not like it's a bad job, just not what I'd been planning: sudden unemployment has a way of messing up plans, but perhaps I shouldn't compromise too much in week 3...
