I can give up any time I want

I started Final Fantasy X on the PS2 on Friday night. After swapping discs between that and less addictive pursuits a couple of times, I noticed on Sunday that the receipt was in the box for the game (because it's the one with the console itself on, I think). I took a quick look at it, and saw that I paid £45 for the game.
That was a bit of a shock. I don't buy games full price (nor music or DVDs, for that matter), since all you need to do is resist the temptation to 'need it now' and hold out until it hits the discounts and the sales. FFX was something I'd been looking forward to for ages, but all the same, £45?
Then it occurred to me. Over the last few years I think I've completed that game twice, and the second time I really stuck around at the endgame (of which there is far more than any of the previous 3) and must have racked up well over 150 hours of play. Now I'm quite happily planning to do the whole lot again, just because I wanted to experience the story again from the start, and because with a little foreknowledge I can do even better at the end. Yeah, it's sad, and I could probably find something more productive to do, but I can stop any time I like :p
Speaking of which, I'll probably be bored with it in a week or two. I've got so many useful things I could do that I really shouldn't let a computer game steal another week of my hours, no matter how good it is.
