After one of the previous posts, Rik asked what I thought was in store for STO. I'll answer that, but I've heard some good rumours and announcements about what the developers have planned for it, and I should really go and check which were which before I start speculating.

STO currently not playable, but I did get an amusingly buggy entry into one map. It's common enough that when the game is loading things slowly (and possibly in the wrong order) that you'll be rendered before the map is, giving the impression of falling through space.

This time, entering a ship-based sector map I actually was falling from space, and when I hit the altitude I was supposed to have I got some screen shake and even a big dust cloud. Someone is either really good at the funny bugs, or has been sneaking some of their humour past the rest of the team...

SWGEmu got some press recently, essentially because SOE still hasn't crushed it. (I can't find the article, but it was pretty old news, given that SOE not having crushed SWGEmu has been the [somewhat un-]natural state of affairs since SWGEmu started.)

Besides interesting thoughts about the legal status of private servers and emulators, it got me thinking about how Star Wars Galaxies had been.
